Chris Cooley plays Tight End for the Washington Redskins.

Chris was selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round (81st overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft.

In his rookie season, Chris led the Redskins with six touchdowns, while recording 37 receptions for 314 yards. Chris caught three passes of more than twenty yards, gained 23 first downs, and averaged 8.5 yards per catch. Chris was also the Redskins' nominee for the NFL Man of the Year award for his work reading to children and feeding the poor.

Chris blossomed as a receiver in his second season, catching 71 passes for 774 yards and seven touchdowns. Three of these touchdowns were scored in a game against the Dallas Cowboys, which set the Redskins’ franchise record for touchdown receptions in a single game by a tight end.

Chris is an avid player of fantasy football. Ironically, the record-setting three touchdowns he scored against the Cowboys ended up costing Chris his fantasy football playoff game because his opponent had selected Chris for his own fantasy team.

Cooley maintains a blog called 'The Cooley Zone.' He also runs an online store through eBay that sells jerseys, cards, and other personalized memorabilia. Chris is also Executive Producer of the independent film Ghosts Don't Exist, which began production in May, 2009.

Chris played college football at Utah State. In his senior season in 2003, Chris led the nation in receptions by a Tight End and finished his college football career with 95 receptions for 1,255 yards (13.2 yards per reception).
