Erik Coleman is a Safety with the Atlanta Falcons.

After being selected by the New York Jets in the fifth round (143rd overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft, Erik cemented his role as a starter with interceptions in his first two NFL games and quickly emerged as a cornerstone of the Jet’s defense. Erik finished his rookie season with the Jets as the highest grossing member of the NFL's performance-pay program, and he started in 45 of 48 regular season games during his time with the Jets.

On March 1, 2008, Erik signed with the Atlanta Falcons. During the 2008 NFL season, Erik had 95 total tackles, 6 passes deflected, and three interceptions. Erik’s three interceptions were the most on the Atlanta Falcons.

In 2009, Erik is currently on pace to have his best year ever in the NFL.
Erik played college football for the Washington State Cougars where he was team captain and one of the greatest defensive playmakers in Cougar history. In 2003, Erik was first-team all-Pac-10 with 90-tackles, seven interceptions, three blocked punts, and numerous forced fumbles.
