Dom is a son of former NFL running back Marion Barber, Jr. and the younger brother of Marion Barber III, who plays running back for the Dallas Cowboys.

Dom is a young safety who is transitioning from a standout player on special teams to a full-time safety. Dom appeared in 12 games in his rookie season and recorded 15 tackles, a sack, and a pass deflection.

In 2009, Dom played in 13 games (six starts) and finished the season with 33 tackles and his first career interception.
