Larry Fitzgerald plays wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals.
Larry Fitzgerald Jr. was born on August 31, 1983 in Minneapolis, MN. Larry played high school football for the Academy of the Holy Angels, but this wasn't his debut with the sport. Larry began his association with football at the age of 15 as a ball boy for the Minnesota Vikings.
Larry played college football at the University of Pittsburg where he was considered by many to be one of the best wide receivers in the collegiate world. Larry continues to dominate on the field, and has established himself as one of the most well-known, talented players in the NFL.
In 2008 Larry received his third Pro Bowl selection, (also receiving it in 2005 and 2007) setting the single postseason record in yards receiving this same season. The 2008 season was a year full of achievement for Larry because he was also a First Team All-Pro selection and Pro Bowl MVP.
In the first half of the NFC Championship Game in 2008, Larry's three touchdowns are what helped advance Arizona to what would be their very first Super Bowl game. Fans know they can expect a great performance from this athlete who sports the number 11 Cardinal jersey.
Larry is just as active off the field with his involvement in multiple charity ventures. In 2004, Larry established the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund, which gives back to less fortunate youth and their families. He also supports the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund, established in honor of his mother who was a victim of breast cancer and passed away in 2003.
