Jordan Babineaux is a safety for the Tennessee Titans.
Jordan Jude Babineaux was born on August 31, 1982 in Port Arthur, Texas. Jordan attended and played football for the University of Southern Arkansas. During his college career Jordan was honored as Dopke.com's National Special Teams Performer of the Year, he was a second team selection on the D2Football.com All-America team, a first team All-South Region pick on defense, and he was a first team All-GSC defensive back.
Out of college, Jordan signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks, and in September 2007, he signed a five-year extension to remain with the team.
Many remember Jordan for his game-saving tackle back in the 2006 NFC Wild Card game. Jordan took down Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on a 4th down scramble just short of the first-down marker, right after Tony had fumbled the snap for what could have been a game-winning field goal for Dallas.
Many refer to Jordan as "Big Play Babs"- and for good reason. He earned the nickname after his interception against the Dallas Cowboys in October 2005. Jordan returned the ball to the Cowboys' 32 yard-line, with five seconds left in the game, setting up Josh Brown for a field goal that would win the game.
Jordan signed with the Tennessee Titans on August 4, 2011, and now wears #26.
